Our love story began in 2004 by planning a large 500 person wedding & reception. It was a magical day that dreams are made of. No detail was forgotten and we quickly learned what a team we really are together. Then we started helping family and friends plan and execute the happiest day of their lives, with Paul officiating and Nilsa helping with every small planning or coordinating detail. Before the couple knew it, they were opening up their services to “friends of friends” and eventually were encouraged to take a leap of faith and open their own wedding and event planning business. So in 2015 Tremaine Weddings & Events was established and the rest of this magical fairytale is only beginning to get started with 2022 adding in a marketing and design professional and a large team of experienced industry leaders! Today, we have a staff of 9 and growing, and we offer a variety of different event services you can find outlined in the services tab above!

“Originally from Milwaukee, I have been event planning for as long as I can remember. I was always the “go to” person that all of my friends and family would come to for party planning. I have a degree in teaching but have worked most of my career in the media industry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I worked both in TV & radio for 12 years where, in my media roles in marketing and promotions, I had the opportunity to plan and execute many amazing events across the greater Milwaukee area.
In my spare time you can find me traveling (we take at least 2 international trips a year) or spending time with my beloved family.
A fun fact about me, I have 6 children, 3 grandchildren, 2 dogs and 2 cats. “
Paul Tremaine Owner Head Officiant
Paul initially began Tremaine Weddings and Events with his wife Nilsa by getting ordained to officiate a friends wedding ceremony. With multiple people complimenting him and the service, him and his wife Nilsa decided that would be a perfect thing they could do together!
Paul works for the Milwaukee fire department and loves nothing more than spending time with his family and closest friends!

“Event planning for me began with me taking the position of Director of Family and Children’s Programming for Milwaukee’s Pridefest. I then became Director of Hospitality for the festival and eventually becoming the Executive Director. Planning for twenty five people or a festival for forty thousand people require the same attention to detail and desire to make sure the participants experience is a joyful celebration.
I take the same approach to Officiating weddings, I became an Officiate at the request of some friends that “liked” my voice and wanted me to be the person that married them. I have since presided over many friends and friends of friends weddings.
I am a Father of two adult children and have lived in Milwaukee for 35 years now, a transplant from New York. I spend my time with Family and Friends and in my garden in Bay View.”
